Rob
Rob, originally from Canada with Filipino roots, has lived in Estonia since 2011. Outside the gym, he works as a music engineer and producer, collaborating with global icons like Stevie Wonder and Bruno Mars, as well as Estonian stars. A father of three. Rob teaches kids’ jiu jitsu and lunchtime no-gi classes. Co-founder of Node Grappling and has brown belt in BJJ.
Efo
The guy who never smiles. Migrated to Estonia back in 2021 as a refugee from the happiest place on Earth- Finland. Efo has a unique background in military and security. As a Finnish Army veteran he has a unique approach to the sport and is more than eager to help out fellow veterans and law enforcement officers to learn unarmed combat skills. Responsible coach for Monday morning and Wednesday evening classes. Co-founder of Node Grappling and has black belt in BJJ.
Tommi
Tommi traded football sliding tackles for berimbolos and never looked back. Now a BJJ brown belt, coach, and co-founder of Node Grappling, he brings experience from training and competing worldwide—including at Unity Jiu Jitsu in New York—back to Tallinn, which he has called home for over a decade. You’ll find him running the evening gi classes, where inverting isn’t required… but it’s highly recommended.
Risto
Risto handles the day-to-day administration at Node Grappling, helping keep things running smoothly. He coaches the Friday evening Essentials class and helps with the Junior program. Risto is a co-founder of Node Grappling and has a brown belt in BJJ.
Sophia
Sophia is from the USA but has been living in the Baltics long enough to have lost all skin tone. No one is sure what she does off the mats, but at Node Grappling, she's sharing the secrets she's learned living and training in six different countries across four continents since 2013, when her Jiu Jitsu journey began. Sophia occasionally leads mobility/active-stretching with Jiu Jitsu recovery in mind. She has black belt in BJJ.
Kuldar
Kuldar is a young and dedicated jiu-jitsu coach responsible for leading the junior class. Known for his calm but firm approach, he focuses on building discipline and confidence in his students. When he’s not coaching, Kuldar is on the mats himself, training almost every day and continuously sharpening his skills.

Sergei
3× Estonian Judo Champion. EJU Tournaments medalist. World Judo Champion 2023. World Sambo Bronze medalist 2019 (Masters). Barber rarely receives pay from Sergei. 5th Dan in Judo & black belt in BJJ. Judo coach.
Aleksandr
Master of Physical Education. 8× Estonian Judo Champion. World Judo Champion 2024 (Veterans). World and European Judo Cup medalist. All his hair went to his brother Sergei. 4th Dan in Judo & brown belt in BJJ.
